A Visitor Arrives on Our Front Lawn!

Yesterday, Sunday afternoon, we had a strange visitor arrive on our front lawn here at 7 Sprucewood Drive. My two friends and I are shown here tending to this large "Turtle" on our lawn. He turned out to be quite friendly and harmless, and it turns out he actually greatly prefers the cold weather. In fact I expect he will disappear as soon as warm weather arrives. In the meantime, he is welcome to make himself at home.

Jessica is shown here putting the finishing touches on our creation. Also on this day the three of us checked out a geocache I had hidden and also checked out the new outdoor skating rink down behind rudders. Overall it made for an interesting afternoon indeed.

What a great picture and a great turtle. It looked so real! Looks like you guys had fun that day.
We don't have a drop of snow here. It's just been so cold!
Great post...love it.

That's pretty cool (get it, "cool"? heh heh heh). What did you use to make the head and legs green? Our front yard has snow sculptures too - they are a kind of modern art, showing the interplay between the forces of nature and machine (namely, the snow plow), and lightly coloured with the soot and residue of car exhaust. Quite moving, really - a shame it's temporary art :o)
P.S. - What's a geocache?

Mikki - I mixed food coloring with water to get the green, and a geocache is a container of hidden trinkets that other people try and locate using GPS. Once found, the finder can exchange a trinket for one in the container. High tech treasure hunt is all it is.
