Through the "Fire" of Life: Hot Stuff!

Hot Stuff!

Live fire training tonight - involving search & rescue using what we call "Rescue Randy". Randy is a 175 pound dummy we had to locate in a burning building - our burn building - and drag out. The dummy of course was on the second level, so it took awhile to find the guy. My low air alarm was on as my partner and I dragged the poor guy out. Very realistic, good training.
Do not forget the lobster festival this weekend here in Yarmouth - starts tomorrow.

Have a great, fire safe night folks! Posted by Picasa

Sounds scary and interesting at the same time. Can you tell if you rescued the dummy in time?

I can think of a few 175 pound dummies, not named Randy--
Do you have a burn building in Yarmouth?

I think you should use a live person...that way you could really tell if you made it in time.

He he...if we used a live person and did not save him in time...we'd be in trouble...

But there'd be one less dummy in the world-
