Doggone It!
Kids say the darndest things! I have dressed up as "Sparky" the fire dog at the end of our fire prevention talks at the schools this week. Wanna know what one kid asked? She looked up and asked "Are you a real dog?" Well I could hardly contain myself from bursting out laughing inside that costume!I sure got alot of hugs from the little tykes which makes it so worthwhile.
The theme of Fire Prevention week this year is "Watch What You Cook". Cooking accidents are a major cause of fires - so be careful. Especially grease - hopefully everyone has a deep fryer rather than using an open pot for french fries and such.
It's amazing how much the little ones remember from previous years talks - and the primary kids who are there for the first time are really special!
Don't forget the torch light parade Friday (tomorrow) night.

Hi there Sparky! You should have told the kid that you're a man, so you must be a dog...hahahahahahahaha.
